My Little Country Girl

We went to Clyde this weekend to see Al's family. On our way out of town Sunday we stopped at the Circle B. The Circle B is about 100 acres that the the family owns in Rising Star. They've got a trailer to sleep in and the boys have a lot of fun out there. I don't mind roughing it sometimes, but I don't think I'll ever rough it in the trailer. Al LOVES it out there though. He would go every weekend if he could. Spring turkey season is approaching quickly. I'm sure he'll make a few trips out to the B soon.
Anyway, we took Brenley out there for the first time. She loved walking around and checking everything out. I didn't let her out of my arms in the trailer though, there are mouse traps all over the place...not a place for a baby who puts everything in her mouth.
Daddy put her up on the old tractor and she thought she was pretty cool. Her cousin Dagan was more than happy to hop on and show her how it works. He's a pretty sweet kid. Here's a couple pictures of my farm girl...isn't she just adorable?!

Brenley is going to be...

A BIG SISTER!!!
That's right, we're going to have another baby. Baby Buster #2! We are very excited...surprised, but excited! The baby is due October 27, according to the internet, so that could change. That would make Brenley 23 1/2 months old...amlost exactly 2 years. I am 7 weeks pregnant and I haven't been to the doctor yet, but I am feeling very pregnant. The morning (and most of the afternoon) sickness hit soon after we found out, and a few of the other wonderful first trimester symptoms have appeared already.
We've told Brenley, but of course she doesn't get it at all. When I tell her there's a baby in my tummy, she lifts up my shirt, points to my belly and says "belly," well at least that's what it sounds like to me. It's pretty cute. She just loves bellies, it has nothing to do with the baby.
I'll be updating as soon as we know anything about Baby #2. But we were getting tired of keeping it a secret and had to spread the good news. Can't wait for you all to meet Baby Buster #2!

Playing Like Big Girls

I rearranged Brenley's room to make it more fun to play in. She gets really tired of being stuck in the play room 4 days a week with the other kids. I thought she needed another place to play, besides under Mommy and Daddy's bathroom sinks (her favorite place to play). Here are a few pictures of Brenley and Macy enjoying their new play room.

They liked putting on jackets (dress up)

Playing in the glider

Brenley knew she wasn't supposed to do this. I'm sure I was just encouraging her by taking a picture, but she's just so darn cute!

(Please excuse her outfit, we hadn't gotten dressed yet)

Daddy's Little Girl

My parents just got back from a 12 day trip to Israel and brought back gifts of course. Brenley had to try on Daddy's t-shirt he got. Sweet girl in an Israel Defense Forces T-Shirt...not quite fitting. But she sure looked cute in Daddy's t-shirt. I remember wearing my Dad's t-shirts all the time when I was little. I slept in them quite often, I loved the way they smelled :) I can't wait for Brenley to get to do that with her Daddy's t-shirts too. There's nothing like being Daddy's little girl!

Our Little Valentine

We had a wonderful Valentines Day. It was so fun to spend the day as a family. We ate breakfast and hung out while Brenley played and napped in the morning. Then we ran some errands together (this may sound boring, but I love running errands with Al). During Brenley's afternoon nap Al began preparing for our big, delicious meal. He cooked Chicken Tetrazini and broccoli...it was so yummy. We had our romantic dinner after Brenley went to bed, complete with Starbucks and German Chocolate cake for dessert...way to go Al!!!
To follow up our fabulous dinner we watched the movie Fireproof. If you haven't seen it, you need to rent it (it's at Redbox for $1). It's a wonderful movie that will inspire you to treat your spouse with respect and to love them unselfishly. It's a wonderful, Christian movie about a marriage on the rocks. I highly recommend it.
I hope you had a great Valentines too!! Here are a couple pictures of our little Valentine!
Here is Brenley last year on her first Valentines Day.
Wow, I can't believe how much she's grown.
Cutie patooite! All decked out in her Valentine's outfit. I love her in big bows...if only she would keep them in all the time.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

It Feels Like Spring

The weather has been really nice lately, so we've been spending as much time as we can outside. The kids love it outside. They can be entertained for hours out there. Here are a few pictures of the "big kids" outside.

Hailey loves to slide!

Brenley likes to eat dirt

I've even caught her with dog poop in her hand a few times!!! So now I have to pull out the pooper scooper before we head outside...yuck!!!

He looks like a man on a mission :)

Brenley and I had a 5 day weekend this weekend. It was wonderful to get to spend some one-on-one time with my baby. We have gone on lots of walks and a couple trips to the park...she LOVES to swing. I've had fun with just the two of us...so much fun that I forgot to get my camera out, sorry.

I'm Turning My Blog Into a Book

A few months ago I posted ab blog asking if anyone knew of a way to turn my blog into a book. A friend told me about blurb.com. I checked them out but they weren't compatible with Blogger. But, now they've changed and you can now go to Blurb.com to upload your blog and they will print it out for you.

I've been working on mine in my spare time. It takes a lot of time to set up each page like you want it. But it's been so fun. Today I have the new Kari Jobe CD in and I'm working on her baby pictures. It brings back such sweet memories. Brenley was such an adorable baby and I'm really enjoying reminiscing that special time.

So, if you have any spare time (he he) this is a great idea and you can have your blog documented forever on paper. When I get mine finished and back from the company I'll let you know how it turns out.
