30!!!

Wow! What a birthday! Friday, May 22nd, was my 30th Birthday! Could I really be 30? Time goes by so fast! It was a wonderful day. The plan all along was to go out to eat at my favorite restaurant with Al while my parents kept Brenley. Then the next weekend we were going to have a very small group of friends come over to celebrate. This was a perfect plan. But, Al, Sabrina, and my Mom made it even more perfect. They pulled off the surprise party of the year!!!

I had no idea anything was going on. I had lunch with my Mom earlier in the day and she was acting a little weird...leaving me to shop on my own while she went home to do stuff around the house. That was odd, but I just thought she was really busy. She had just been out of town for a week.

Al normally teaches a class after school Mon-Thurs, but he called earlier that day to tell me they scheduled a make-up class for Friday. I was bummed, but I got over it. So, he come home about 6:00, instead of 4:30, and we got ready to go on our date.

We pulled up to my parents house and I still had no idea. I did see a few people move through the windows, but I just thought it was Mom and Dad. Then we walked in and I saw glasses and dinner all set up in the kitchen. I knew what was going on then. My Mom pulled me around the corner where everyone shouted, "Surprise!" It was so fun! I really was surprised. I had no idea.

The party was wonderful. So many friends came from all over. I felt very very blessed! Thank you Al, Sabrina, and Mom for pulling it off. You guys are amazing. And thank you to all my sweet friends that came and made me feel so special. I love you guys!

Here are a bunch of pictures. I chopped my hair off the next day. I wish I had cute hair in these pictures, but I did have on a cute dress that Al bought me for my birthday :)

Update on Doctors Appointments

It's been a while since I've updated you guys on the pregnancy, and I wanted to tell you what Brenley's orthopedic doctor said. So here it is...

Friday we went to Brenley's Orthopedic Dr. I was a little anxious about it because last time we were there he said if her feet don't change much by the next appoinment he wanted to look into surgery. We are NOT ready for surgery, so I was prepared to say no. But the PA came in and looked at her feet and was very encouraged that her inside tendons are still soft and flexible. This means that they are able to stretch and correct themselves. I told him that I've been praying over her feet everyday and that I believe Jesus is going to heal them and he was in agreement. I was so excited!

Then the doctor came in and he said the same thing as the PA. They both think that as she grows her feet will strengthen and straighten out. He just wants her to continue to wear her shoes (which is fine, but they are $100 shoes and she's about to be on her third pair!!) and continue to stretch her feet every day. There isn't anything else we can do...except pray of course!!! So, it was a good appointment. We will go see him again right before the baby is born. Hopefully Jesus will work a miracle before then :)

It's been a while since I've mentioned anything about my pregnancy. I wish I had a picture because my belly is starting to pooch out. Depending on what I'm wearing I look pregnant. I'll post a picture soon. I am feeling really good. I am in the glory days of the pregnancy. I have a lot of energy, sleep really well at night, and I'm not sick anymore. I never had morning sickness as bad some girls get it, but I felt pretty yucky for a few months. Now I just eat a lot, but whats new :)

I am 17 weeks pregnant which means the baby is about 5 inches long from head to bottom. It's about as long as my outstretched hand and weighs about 3 oz I think. I still haven't felt the baby move, but I'm expecting to any day now. We have a sonogram scheduled for June 11th to find out what this baby is. If it's a boy (which I think it is) we will name him Weston Alfred, but we don't have a girl's name picked out.

I think that's about it. Brenley is waking up from a nap. We are in the middle of switching from 2 naps to 1. Today she is taking two because she was pretty cranky this morning. So now it's lunch time, then we're off to the park with Macy and Elliot. I hope you all have a wonderful spring day!

A Day Off

This Friday is my first day off in a while. I've been keeping Macy on Fridays for a while and this week is my first Friday off! What will we do??? I'm pretty excited about having a whole day with just Brenley. I think she needs a little extra special attention. She loves the other kids, but sometimes has a hard time sharing her Mommy.

We do have one plan, we have an appointment with Brenley's orthopedic doctor to look at her feet. I'm not sure they've changed much, but I know they will. A few months ago I received a word from the Lord and it was confirmed by a friend of mine, that He is going to heal Brenley's feet. So, everyday I have been praying and claiming that her feet will be healed by the blood of Jesus! It's so sweet when I pray over her feet out loud she says, "Amen!" It's precious! She's in agreement with me! So, would you pray with me as well for her feet to straighten out. I'll update you all with what the doctor says, but to me, it doesn't really matter what the doctor says, I know what my God says and He says her feet will be healed! Thank You Jesus!!!

What a Day!

If this wasn't the best day, then it was pretty darn close! We had the most amazing day yesterday. We started off with early church. The service was awesome and we got to see a lot of friends afterwards. Then we came home so Brenley could take a nap, while Mommy got to lay down on the couch and watch a movie (perfect!)

After nap time we went out to lunch at Cotton Patch with my Mom and Dad to celebrate Mother's Day. We had a Mother's Day dinner for my Mom on Friday night when my brother-in-law Phillip was in town for the night, and Danny and Amber came over. So, we had already done the big thing for Mom, this was just for fun :)

After lunch we stopped at Sonic for Happy Hour drinks and then ran by the house to pick up the dog, because we were off to the park! We tried out a new park we'd never been to. Brenley LOVED it! It was hot and muggy, but we had a great time.

After the park we didn't really know what to do. Al had a few things he wanted to do in the back yard, so Brenley and I came out to help ;) This turned out to be the best part of the day. Brenley was getting pretty wet from me watering the new sod and plants, so we decided to strip her down and turn on the sprinkler. Oh my gosh, she loved it! She freaked out when we turned it on high, but she had a blast in the water, running around naked!!! Al and I loved it too. I think we might have to do this every day this summer!

Once dinner time rolled around we all went inside to eat dinner, give Brenley a bath and put her to bed. Al and I had a few things to do in the garage after she went to bed, but it was fun working outside with him. Like I said, it was a perfect day with my family. I love spring, and I love watching Brenley play. I wish we could do this every day! Brenley playing in the tunnels at the park.

She loved the tire swing. We thought she might be too small for it, but she held on really well. She kept saying, "Wee, wee!" So fun!

Brenley loves to swing

This is the beautiful hanging basket I got for Mother's Day from Al. It has so many different flowers in it, I love it!

Brenley playing in the sprinklers...so cute!

Washing her wagon

And finally I'll leave you with this...what a cute little hiney :)

A Hair Raising Experience

Most days I put Brenley and Macy's hair in a pony tail, or "bow" as they call it. A few weeks ago Christopher and Hailey were watching me put the girls' hair up and they wanted a "bow" too. Although Christopher is a boy, he is surrounded by girls on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so what else would you expect. He had to join in the fun too...only temporarily, I took his out soon after these pictures were taken. So, here are all my Tuesday kids with "bows."
