It's Party Time

This year our precious girls turned one and three. We decided that since they are young and have the same friends, we would have their birthday party together. We booked it at a park, just praying for good weather in November. It turned out to be a beautiful day...almost 70 degrees. It was pretty windy, but we had a great time! It was so fun to celebrate our precious girls! They are such a blessing to us!

Brenley loves to open presents and was pretty sure that they were all for her...Brooklyn was okay with that this year, but next year might be a different story.

So excited about her new toy

We were so blessed to have their cousins at the party.

My precious one year old

Happy Birthday Brenley and Brooklyn

It was so windy we couldn't light the candles, but that didn't stop the fun.

Yum Yum!
Every one year old has to make a mess... it's so fun! This girl has a sweet tooth like none other...takes after her Daddy :)

I wish we would have taken a picture of the four of us.
We had a fabulous time at the party. Thank you to everyone who came.
Happy Birthday sweet girls!

Big Girl Bed

Brenley has been in her crib for a long time...three years to be exact. And she loved it! She would have stayed in it longer, but we were pretty sure she was ready to move to big girl bed.

So for her third birthday Brenley got a new bed. We bought a bunk bed, but only put together the bottom bed together because we didn't want the girls climbing up to the top yet. Some day they will have to share a room, so bunk beds will be perfect then.

Brenley absolutely loves her new bed. She has been such a big girl too. She's been in it for a while and still hasn't gotten out of her bed. When we put her to bed she stays there and when she wakes up in the morning or at nap time, she stays in her room until we come get her...it's fabulous!!!

Anytime anyone comes over, even Nana who has been over a lot, she usually always asks if they want to come see her big girl bed. She's so proud of it. And we are so proud of her! She has exceeded our expectations!

Fun With Family!

We always have a great time when the Hunters come in town and this time was no exception!
When they got in Thursday afternoon we were still at our house watching Ellie, the baby that I keep. We had planned on going over there that evening to see them. But Pops and Avery surprised Brenley and came to pick her up early. I don't think I've ever seen her so excited. She was jumping up and down and was talking a mile a minute, showing Avery everything in her house and her room. She was thrilled to have her cousin here! Atley and Avery are her best friends. Even though they live far away, she still talks about them daily. At night when we pray with her, Atley and Avery are the first people she wants to pray for. I pray that they always have a sweet friendship like they have now. It's just precious.
Here are a few pictures of our time with the family. There is always a lot going on so I don't always get out the camera. But here's a taste of what we did.
Uncle Danny took some time out to read a book to Atley and Brenley.
My beautiful sister Shelly, cute baby Champ, the adorable pregnant Amber and my gorgeous Mom. We always have a lot to talk about when we are together. Amber's sweet Baby Hudson is due December 20th, so we all love to talk about babies. We can't wait to meet little Baby Ruth!

Nana has a shofar (a hollowed out ram's horn) that she blows and the kids love it. They all got horns at the girl's birthday party earlier that day, so they were marching around blowing their horns. It was pretty noisy, but really cute!

One of the reasons the Hunters came down was to see our church's new campus. It is absolutely amazing, especially the kids part. They went above and beyond!

Here's Avery and Brooklyn riding Noah's ark :)

Brenley and Canon were off to help put out a fire!

My parent's neighborhood has a few beautiful ponds. They just put in a new playground by one of the ponds so we went to check it out on a beautiful day! We had a blast and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.

Sweet Canon had been taking off his hat and saying, "Yee Haw," just like Woody. But I couldn't get him to do it for the camera, he just sucked his thumb, but he looked so precious!

Brooklyn joined him for a while but I don't think either one of them liked it very much.

Al got to take Pop's bike out for a spin. His first time on a bike in years! He never missed a beat!

Precious Avery being such a big girl walking on the ropes all by herself.

Sweet Atley was so big too!

Nana and Pops acting like kids! I'm so glad they still like to have fun!

Phillip showing his kids how to dig to China :)

Pumpkin Patch 2010

There's a great pumpkin patch not too far from here. Last year was our first year to go and Brooklyn was only a week old and she and I spent most of the time in the car nursing. So, Brooklyn and I had a lot more fun this year. We went during the week when it's not so crowded, so Al didn't get to go with us this year. But my mom was sweet enough to come along and it was so much fun with her there. We got to go on a hay ride, Brenley went through the maze a couple times, got to see lots of fun cartoon characters, and bought a little pumpkin to take home and make pumpkin pie at Nana's.

Our 3'2" girl

Brooklyn and Nana on the hay ride

Us girls on the hayride...the girls' first ever.
I love this picture!

Playing in the pumpkin house.

Posing with the Little Mermaid. They looked thrilled don't they!

This cute girl was learning how to walk so she wanted down in the dirt and hay. All messy, but she sure looks precious! (Thanks Aunt Shelly for the adorable hat!)

Randomness

Here are a bunch of pictures that don't really need their own post, but are worth sharing. They are all pretty random and in no particular order.

Bren likes to try to clip her own toe nails. She's no too bad at it.

Lining up her babies. Not sure what for, but she's pretty good at bossing them around :)

Brenley is sometimes pretty rough with Brooklyn. Most of the time Brooklyn hates it. This particular day they were wrestling on the floor and Brooklyn was happy for a whole 30 seconds of it.

Brooklyn loves to snuggle. We love it too!

Brenley got a new car seat and absolutely loves it! She thinks she's pretty big stuff!

Brooklyn moved into Brenley's old car seat and she loves her new world of facing forward! I don't know that she ever knew what she was missing out on until now.

Brenley playing football...this was her helmet.

Look at this precious face after her bath.
Oh, those eyes make me melt!

Taking a nap outside, so much fun!

Trying to learn how to zip up her jacket. Big stuff!

My kids love to eat and this one loves to make a mess!

I think she learned this from her sister!

First night to eat spaghetti and it was a big hit!
This was the night of her birthday and she chose to eat spaghetti over her pumpkin muffin with whipped cream.

Brooklyn Is One

October 16 is one of my favorite days. It is the day we celebrate the arrival of our precious Brooklyn Mallory Buster.

Brooklyn, from the minute we found out that you were going to be in our lives, we have loved you. You have stollen our hearts. This past year has been been fabulous! From the day of your birth to the day of your first birthday, you have changed so much. You have gone from a precious newborn to a walking toddler. You have grown into a darling little girl. We love your laid back personality and your happy disposition. Your desire to snuggle with us is one of the highlights of our days.

You love your big sister and want to be a part of everything she is doing. But as much as you want to be big like her, you still want Mommy to hold you all the time. You are a Mama's girl but Daddy is a pretty close second. He's pretty crazy about you too.

Not a day goes by that we don't thank Jesus for bringing us you. We pray that you will have a hunger for Him at an early age and that your life will glorify His name.

We love you Brooklyn Mallory. Happy First Birthday baby girl!

Fall Festival

Our church puts on the most amazing fall festival. There are tons of rides and games and candy! Last year we went when Brooklyn was one week old, so this year she got to enjoy it a little bit more.

Brenley posing in her costume. (She's into this fake smile lately)

We met our sweet friends the McCoys up there. Brenley and Macy are still best friends and they had a blast!

Our sweet strawberry rode her first roller coaster :)

Brooklyn and Carli loved riding in the wagon. Aren't they cute with their matching pacis!

Brenley got to ride a horse for the first time and LOVED it!!!

What a big girl!!!

We had a blast and saw lots of friends! Can't wait to do it again next year!
