Crib Tent

Does anyone have a crib tent they would let us borrow or buy???

Last night was a LONG night at our house. Brenley climbed out of her crib a lot in between the hours of 2:00 and 4:30 am. After many spankings, 2 and a half hours, and lots of tears she finally went back to sleep in her bed, with Al sitting on her floor. We can't do this every night and don't think she's ready for a big girl bed. If she won't stay in her crib, why would she stay in her big girl bed? She might for a night or two, but then the newness would wear off quickly.

So, we want a crib tent, but don't want to have to pay $80 for one. For now she's going to be sleeping with jeans over her jammies. She has a hard time hiking her leg up and over the railing with her jeans on :)

So, if you have one that you aren't using right now, please e-mail me. Thanks! Also, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

i dont have a crib tent...but i was wondering if it was worth a try to put her in a big girl bed. that is, if hers converts easily. does it? if so, might try it one night to see what she does. and if it's awful, just put it back together and keep looking for a crib tent.

here is my .10 cent advise.... i would get her in her big girl bed now. talk it up, make a BIG deal out of it, take her to buy bedding a new decorative pillow,-SOMETHING for her big girl bed. she might buy into it. give it a try for a few nights. okay, dont turn us in... BUT when dakota started coming to see us from her big girl bed we had to stop it. so, when we put her down we shut the door and locked it. she couldnt work the lock and we could get in by using a nickle to unlock it. IT WORKED!!!! there were 2-3 nights we went to go get her and she was asleep by the door, but it stopped! it is so hard but she is safe. crying never hurt a child. your sleep is valuable! good luck! like I said... .10 cents!

okay i asked all the baby experts that i work with about this tricky situation...they allllll said...get the big girl bed. even if you get a crib tent they are still able to get out of those eventually. Supposedly it will take 2-3 nights of consistently putting her back in her bed and then she will eventually learn she cant come out. they also said, give her one warning then after that do not say one word to her when you are putting her back in her bed each time. never give her any attention for getting out. basically you wanna switch to the bed so she wont hurt herself crawling out of a crib. okay thats my co workers 2 cents! hehe! good luck! =)

We are going to put Kendall in a big girl bed soon....I have heard that if you start them before they can turn the doorknob, then that is when to start habits! Who knows, each kiddo is so different, best of luck!! too bad you can't swaddle a 2 year old!
