Wedding Weekend

We just had the best weekend. My brother married the most amazing and beautiful girl, Amber Henson. They are now Mr. and Mrs. Danny Ruth! We couldn't be happier for them. It was so fun to have so many friends and family there. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was a blast. We come from a huge baseball family so it was very fitting that they had the reception at the Ballpark (The Ranger's Stadium). Everything was perfect! It was a blast from Thursday night when the Hunters got in town all the way to Sunday night watching the Superbowl.
Here are a few pictures of the weekend. I apologize that they are all in reverser order. I should have planned this out a little better.
Nana and Atley are resting on the couch Sunday afternoon. Everyone was pretty pooped!
Avery, Shelly, and Canon also taking a break

My parents had a brunch at their house Sunday morning for out of town guests and close friends and family. It was wonderful.
Uncle Tony, Aunt Pam, Lindsey, Ryan, Audra and my Mom
All family in from Phoenix and Springfield, MO. It was so great to see the Arizona Griffins and the Missouri ones too :)
Aunt Angie and Baby Canon
Phillip, Avery, and Aunt Becky (My Dad's Sister)
Phillip (Shelly's husband) officiated the wedding. He did a WONDERFUL job!

So Sweet

Our sweet flower girls. I wheeled them down the isle in the wagon. Brenley practiced really well but when it came time for the real thing she freaked out and I carried her down. It was still really sweet. They looked adorable!!!
I wheeled them down the isle and out the side door right to the babysitters who took them home and put them to bed...perfect!!!

I'm sure Shelly's arms are a little more defined after this weekend. She held Canon a lot!

It was a fabulous wedding. We loved every minute of it and are so glad to have another sister! I wish I had more pictures of Danny and Amber, but you can go to my sister Shelly's blog to see some more pictures of the weekend.

Meeting Kendall

This weekend we went down to Austin to see our friends, Lance and Lauren. They had their sweet baby Kendall 5.5 months ago and we still hadn't met her. We finally got to see how precious she is. She is such a good baby, so happy and easy going. Brenley did really well with her. Lots of the guys that Al grew up with have girls and many are around the same age. It's going to be so fun over the years to see them grow up together and play. Someday soon we'll have to get them all together to play...lookout houseboat here we come!!!
Thanks Lance and Lauren for letting us come. We had a great time with you guys. It was so nice to hang out by the fire and have a nice relaxing weekend with good friends. We'll have to get together again soon!
Check out Lauren's blog, she has a few more pictures of the girls. http://theralstoncrib.blogspot.com/

Whats Been Going On

A sweet friend of mine reminded me today that it's been a while since I've blogged. I think I've just gotten out of the habit of taking pictures and I don't like to blog without pictures.
So, I'll catch you up a little with what's been going on.
1. After three years, Al got his braces off!!! (see picture below). He had two missing teeth so they've filled them in with a bridge. He has the temporary now, but will get his "real" teeth on Wednesday. He looks so hot!!!
2. Brenley has been working on getting some more teeth. She's got 4 now, almost 5. She's a little slow in the teeth department. She also got new orthopedic shoes. For those of you who don't know. Her doctor told us that he's giving us three more months of shoes and stretching and if her feet haven't improved then he will probably suggest surgery. We are praying that the Lord will heal her feet. We've decided that even if he says surgery, that doesn't mean we have to. We can always give her more time. He said he would do the surgery up to 3 years old. I'd rather have her wear the shoes for longer than do surgery. So, please pray with us that her feet straighten out.
3. Since New Years I've been home a lot. I love keeping babies but sometimes I feel like I'm trapped in my house. It seems like I'm always feeding a baby, changing a diaper, or putting someone down for a nap/getting someone up from a nap. I had a week where I was really frustrated, but the Lord has encouraged me and given me a new purpose for keeping babies...He is so good. Now I look forward to each new day. Thank you Jesus!
4. Al and I started a class at church called Financial Peace University. It's a DVD series with Dave Ramsey. We are really excited about it. It's a 13 week class every Tuesday night. I think we'll get tired of being out so much, but it will be so worth it to have a plan for our future.
I'm sure we've had more going on, but that's just a snapshot of our life lately. My brother is getting married next weekend and Brenley, Atley, and Avery will be flower girls. I'm sure we'll have some cute pictures to share. Until then here are a few pictures of us (well mostly Brenley).
Our future Red Raider!!!
I think she is going to love to dress up. She wears her bib all the time and loves to put her vest on or any other jacket. She likes to put hats or hoods on. She's pretty cute.

Daddy sporting his Alma matter, McMury, and Brenley sporting Mommy's Alma matter, Texas Tech!!! See Al's new teeth, doesn't he look great!!!

Christmas Pictures At Last

We had a wonderful Christmas at my parent's house, with the whole family. There are 12 of us now, so it was a bit crazy, but we enjoyed every minute of it. All three girls had a blast. Nana is so good at playing with them, taking them on walks, and pushing them in the swing out back. They love it at her house and so do we. My parents did such a wonderful job of planning ahead for all the meals and things for us to do. It was absolutly perfect. Thanks for all you do Mom and Dad...I love you!
My sister and her family were here for a long time. Her husband had to go back home for work, but she and the kids stayed for a week and a half. We loved seeing them everyday. Most of the pictures are of our three girls, but I guess that's what happens when kids come. There are lots of little stories from the week, but I think the pictures are going to have to tell the sories themselves. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! Love you all!
Sorry about the music from the slide show, that was an accident. You can click on the speaker icon at the top of the slide show to make the music go away.

The Buster Family Christmas

This was a very special Christmas to us because it was the first Christmas in our house with Brenley. We had a wonderful morning. We woke up and ate pancakes (Brenley's first time) yum. Then we opened presents. It was fun to just have the three of us. Brenley loved opening presents this year. We had a prefect Christmas morning.

2008 Christmas Letter

I thought I'd post our Christmas letter. Many of you have read this already, but for those of you that haven't, now you can catch up on the Buster Family Christmas letter :)

Dear Family and Friends,

Well here we are, getting ready to start another year. This year has been one of many blessings for our family. We have been able to see our baby girl grow, develop new friendships, and have seen how the Lord has worked in every area of our life.
This year Brenley turned ONE!!! We can’t believe how fast time flies. She has changed so much this year. It’s been fun to see her at each new stage. Her vocabulary is expanding all the time. Her favorite words at the time are “dog” and “nigh nigh” (she loves to go to bed…its wonderful). She is walking all over the place. She tries to run, but her feet just can’t keep up. At 6 months Brenley was referred to an orthopedic doctor for her pigeon toed feet. She has been wearing corrective shoes ever since then. We see progress, but are praying that the Lord would completely heal her feet. Brenley is such a blessing to us; we can’t imagine what we did without her. She melts our hearts on a daily basis.
Al has had quite an interesting year. This time last year we were living with my parents until our tennants moved out of our house and he was working for a restoration company in Dallas. One day in January he came home without a job. The company laid-off all the Dallas employees, so Al hit the pavement looking for a job. In February we took a leap of faith and moved back into our house, even though neither of us had a job. Soon after we moved in Al was blessed with a job teaching math at Everman High School. It’s a bit of a drive from our house, but he has enjoyed it. The Lord is so good to us and has provided for our every need. He has missed coaching a little, but he sure doesn’t miss it when he can take off for the weekend and go hunting or fishing. He shot another good sized buck this year. He’s just adding to the one we have mounted in our BEDROOM! Al is a wonderful Daddy to Brenley. She lights up when she sees her Dada everyday. And I couldn’t ask for a better husband. He makes me a better person.
I have also had a busy year. I have always desired to be a stay at home mom. For a moment with Al’s lay-off we thought it wasn’t going to be possible, but once again the Lord made a way. A friend approached me about keeping her baby three days a week. It was the perfect thing to help us make ends meet. As time went on and I got the hang of keeping two babies, I added a set of twins in May and then one more just a few months ago. My schedule is perfect. I never have more than 4 babies at a time, I have a different group of babies everyday and I have my Fridays off. I couldn’t have planned it any better. Brenley loves her friends and I love these babies. It has become the prefect job for me. There is nothing better than getting to spend everyday with Brenley. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
We are really enjoying being back in our house. It was almost like we never left. We love our church, our friends, and my parents live 2 miles away, so we see them often. Although life has its struggles, it’s so wonderful to know who is in control. God is so good. He has made our marriage stronger, our family healthy, and has given us a joy that no one can take away. We pray that you all have a wonderful Christmas. We love you all!!!
