Resurrection Rolls

This year for Easter the girls and I made resurrection rolls. We took crescent rolls to represent the tomb and marshmallows to represent Jesus' body. The marshmallow was dipped in butter (oil) to represent the oil that was put on Him and then we dipped the marshmallow in sugar and cinnamon to represent the myrh that was put on Jesus' body when he was buried. It was really neat to get to explain all of this to the girls.

Once the marshmallow was ready we wrapped it up in the tomb and sealed it tight, just like they did with mortar on Jesus' tomb.

Then we baked the rolls and what do you know...the tomb was empty! Praise the Lord!
This was so fun to do with the girls. A great visible reminder that Jesus rose from the dead!
Thank You Jesus that the tomb is empty!!!
